Float Tubes for Fly Fishing

There are two types of float tubes available on the market today for fly fishing, the traditional tubes that are typically round in design, and the newer pontoon tubes. The traditional tubes are sometimes called belly boats and come in many colors, sizes, and offer the fly fisherman many features to choose from.

The pontoon float tube provides you with all the maneuverability of a traditional tube, but is highly stable and tracking is better. They have less surface water resistance than the traditional tubes, giving you the ability to get around your favorite fishing spots quicker. They have plenty of storage for all your fly fishing gear and some actually come with rod holders and adjustable back rests. Most of the pontoon float tubes on the market are easily packable and transportable.
